Well I graduated from Pitt just after the stone ages with a BS in Chemistry. I don't remeber Bio being super well known then, but I also was a commuter and didn't spend much free time on campus. Pitt's chem degree was fine at the time. I am sure things have changed in the 20+ years since I have been there. Chem was considered a pretty good program when I was there.

Back then Pitt never had much of a rep in business. Arts/music were OK. I remember engineering being pretty strong. I would suggest you defer to someone a little more closely connected to the present though.
