So right now I’m considering Pitt as a medium to safe school to apply to for a science program, possibly neuroscience?
Stats:—
Weighted GPA:3.58
SAT: 2150
since freshman year, i have only taken 3 CP classes, all others were either honors or AP
MAIN CONCERN: science has not had a good record on my transcript with me receiving a 79 UW physics honors, 86 UW chem honors and 80 UW AP biology. Wondering how much emphasis Pitt admission committee will put on sciences.
Next year doing AP Chem, AP German, and AP Calc AB so that will bring my AP class count to 4. I AM OUT OF STATE APPLICANT.
Have participated in 4 different clubs,
throw varsity track 1 year (which I’m thinking of trying out for Pitt’s D1 team for javelin)
Am an EMT and have a leadership position in my squad. Volunteer hours by the time I apply will probably be over 700 hours.
Will shadow an emergency doctor this summer.
Please tell me how good my chances are of getting a spot for neuro in Pitt. Also please list the a couple of the “best” schools I could get into with these stats. If they’re “better” or worse than Pitt does not matter just your honest opinion!
Thanks in advance!
