That’s what I assumed when I read that they wanted semester grades. Then it said below that that we would hear back by the end of March. So, now we wait

3.7 with 8 honors classes, 2 AP, 3 DE UConn, 3 Post U DE classes, 2 other DE courses, TO. Had a national championship for cheer, multiple leadership positions EC, three jobs, and over 160 hours of coaching/mentoring. Also took 10 business related classes, majoring in a business major. Good luck!!!

Wow! I am shocked that those stats/classes/EC’s would be deferred at URI! Hope she hears back soon!
Nooo she was accepted with around $20 merit. 
although there were some schools down south that did NOT accept her !!

My son’s portal looks different today, no more banner asking for midyear grades, and his grades have been in the portal since 2/3. But no notification yet.
Still nothing here, anyone else? This is the last one he is waiting on, so looking forward to getting an answer!
We are in the same boat! Applied Nov for EA. Sent in mid term grades in January and now crickets. We reached out to our local admissions counselor and got the generic - all set & hear by March 32st. We’ve heard from every school except URI - the only school she wants ugh! We are out of state. I’ve been following this thread from December - helps to know I’m not the only mom stressing daily

I find it so odd how silent they have been. Generally in New England they are considered on par or slightly lower than the UMass, UConn and UNH…yet they are lagging weeks behind in term of admissions. I am kind of surprised and it makes me wonder if something is going on (layoffs, etc).
I applied EA early October I believe, found out late January… 3.45 GPA and excess extracurriculars. 33k worth of merit scholarship not including any possible financial aid. I did get in grades fairly early as well, do not know if that had anything to do with the whole process. I would believe everything comes out in the next two days as most non-ivy colleges release final decisions tomorrow and Saturday.

Excuse me, the update to my portal was posted December 22 when I applied EA.
Same! My son has heard from everywhere except URI. Hoping decisions come out SOON!!

Still nothing! Last school and her top 1. I really hope they aren’t holding off till deadline to just send a denial - other school options are on hold till URI is received and cutting it close for accepted student days at other schools

Very frustrating! I would imagine we will miss their accepted student events
Do we think today? Or are they literally waiting until the absolute last minute???
I’m just concerned that last minute notification means rejection - puts the pressure to choose next best and hope that school hasn’t already held an accepted students day (which many have).
We’ve gotten great offers to other schools although not her top pick but URI was recommended as her “safe” school & she’s had her sight on it since day 1. Who knows … maybe because we are out of state or mid year grades for EA didn’t show the improvement they would have liked ?!

I wouldn’t read too much into it, but it is wild to me that they are pushing it so late. Some of the schools S24 has been accepted to have pushed their commit dates to June 1, but many have not. I just hate to be jumping around at the last minute when these kids have prom and graduation quickly approaching!
