Waitlisted which is totally fine. My son had already moved on but was just waiting out of curiosity. I’m actually surprised he wasn’t rejected! Congrats to those who got in!

My daughter was waitlisted. 36act, national merit finalist, valedictorian, out of state, public school, 11 APs.

Extracurriculars are mainly band since that is a huge part of our high school and consumed lots of time.

4.0 uw, 4.6 w. No tour.

I guess I don’t understand.

You are not alone in not understanding, if that helps at all.

I know how frustrating the admissions process is but if it makes you feel better, I knew a high stats student who was weightlisted at 8 colleges last year, including Richmond, Dartmouth and Boston College. He did get off some of the waitlists, including Richmond annd BC and chose BC.

Completely agree- system is strange but works in mysterious ways. My DS was rejected/waitlisted at 6/6 before last night (Dickinson, F&M, Miami, Grinnell etc) but we always all felt Richmond was the right place for him and it worked out. His quirkier older sister- same story: rejected at colleges we expected to be good chances, surprisingly accepted at Brandeis, which she will graduate from in a couple of months having loved it throughout. Incredible. And good luck to all, accepted and still waiting.

College is really weird. I was denied to UVA, but full admission to Richmond with no expectations. Crazy how things can change

4.7w, 12AP/Max Rigor, founder of HS varsity team and collegiate level athlete. Life’s weird man
