If what said in #93 is true then we may be expecting our decisions this week!
Are decisions possibly coming out tomorrow? Does anyone know what time possibly?
@kate0593 Possibly 6pm if it is tomorrow
There’s this very fine line between being nervous and being excited and I guess I am sitting right on that line, expecting decisions. Anyway, best of luck to everyone, in case the results actually come in a few hours!
I think that students from India (like me) would have a better chance of getting in given the coronavirus situation in China and around the world. As of now, we only have 80 cases in a country of 1.2bn.
Coronavirus won’t impact the decisions whatsoever
Not sure where it comes from. :neutral: Completely irrelevant.
I am really sorry for the previous post. Didn’t think it would come up as insensitive. That’s what happens sometimes when we become so engrossed in numbers that we forget the human side of things. Please forgive me for that. I had posted this on multiple forums. I should have been more thoughtful before posting.
Are the decisions coming today or what?
No announcements till now. So I guess not.
Does Rochester usually make announcements? Cause I looked at their insta/twitter and they usually dont

Sorry for second post I am new to this whole website
Please Rochester, come out today! I have too many schools coming out later, I would love an early notification!
Guys please if my application is not complete due to non submission of international Financial documents , will it affect my decision?
@Nnig03
Financial aid =|= admissions
That missing document will have no effect on your admission
@Nnig03 Hey, another international applicant here. It will actually affect your admission decision. Since you haven’t submitted your financial documents yet, you have a better chance of getting in since “non-submission” is considered “not interested in applying for aid”. But in case you get in, you can not appeal for financial aid and will have to pay the full sticker price in case you decide to enroll. This is because financial aid at Rochester is need based for international students and hence takes your financial need into consideration while evaluating your application.
Thank you very much
Btw, I received an Email from Rochester saying they sent something through Fedex( I am an international applicant)…
What does this mean ?, do they usually send décision by Mail?, you think it means decision are coming today?
For need based I understand I might n’ont receive it , But can’t I have merit scholarship however?
@Nnig03
From what I understand, not unless you are a very very very special applicant. Though I might be wrong. But one thing is for sure that priority is given to those who apply for financial aid.
@Nnig03
You can contact them once and ask them if you can still apply for aid. Be sure to explain your situation to the best of your ability. If it doesn’t work out, try applying for external scholarships. If your financial need is low, you can take a loan and later apply for scholarships like Microsoft Scholarship that require you to be a currently enrolled undergrad.
