Just received e-mail from U of SC saying EA applicants will get an e-mail late Friday afternoon 12/13/19 with instructions for checking portal about admissions decision status.

Got the same email. Naturally, between Dec 9-13 means late, late Dec 13th.

I meant to post this here - Tomorrow is the day - does anyone have any insights into what time we will hear? Before 5, after 5?

@Momtofourkids, I don’t have any insights, but if I had to render a guess, I would say 5 or after.

When they released the few decisions in November, there were posts that said the email came in at 5:00 to check the portal for a decision. You can go back through the other Admissions thread and see the times that people started announcing.

I am still saying that that November BETA was a small test group for how they might deploy for this Friday. The exception to this would be that it may be more rolling to accomodate their server traffic. They may stagger them to not crash their system. Of course this is just me speculating since they have not done releases like this before.

My daughter was offered a scholarship in her acceptance letter. We are out of state so our scholarships are not the same as in state.

My son was offered a scholarship guaranteeing him at least in state tuition. He was also admitted to Darla Moore as pre-international business. But I guess now we wait to see if he got into SCHC. Congrats to all who got in!

We are also OOS and my daughter received a scholarship. She is waiting to hear from the honors college in Feb. Does anyone know if the honors college offers additional scholarships?

@Twinsmom1995 Honors College does not come with additional money unless they receive one of the Top Scholarships awards that can be paired with the merit. Go to link below for more OSS info

Does anyone know if the invitations for the Top Scholars weekend have already gone out?

@SandyCollege I’m pretty sure Top Scholars invites have not gone out yet. In previous years, they have been mailed in mid-late January, but since UofSC seems to be doing things differently this year, who knows?

Yep. Daughter devastated.
UofSC is her #1 choice.

Extra curriculars: Student Council President, Assistant Editor in Chief for yearbook, Student Board co-President of a local non profit, and then participation in a variety of other clubs

Offered a pre scholarship amount with a more specific offer coming in March
