University of South Carolina Early Action for Fall 2025

It’s just a guess, I made notes of the ones that got submit submit, and so far those were acceptance ;).

In the email that went out last week from the school, it said they would have acceptances, deferrals and denials

OKAY… good to know! Thanks!

My DD had no submit showing and was deferred

No in ours, hoping it’s to come later.

Deferred. Such a bummer. I thought he had a shot. 1270, 3.9, 8 APs, Captain of the XC Team, etc. (OOS)

did you ever have 2 submitteds?

OOS 34 ACT (not sure what the recalculated GPA would be) and accepted to Arts & Sciences with a minimum $96k merit. Her submitted status never disappeared and then she had the double submitted message for a hot minute.

I’m so sorry. I think we will be in the same situation- DS at work so I don’t know yet. What are your stats? Hopefully in the spring!!

Yes. In the letter.

Accepted. OOS (MA) 34 ACT, 4.0 uw. No idea what the USC GPA would be. Darla Moore 96k plus scholarship. Crazy. Good luck to all in the coming days, weeks, months with college decisions. This is an extremely competitive EA cycle it seems and most decisions will come during the RD round.

Not that we saw

Just curious if a lot of the kids that were deferred were also invited (multiple times!) to apply for the Honors College? I’m glad my S25 opted not to complete that additional application or he really would have been pissed!

Does anyone have an idea if a decent number of deferred kids get accepted in RD like at Clemson, Auburn etc.

Interestingly the deferral FAQ’s basically say unless you indicated you wanted testing to be considered and never submitted, which you can now do, don’t send anything else unless they ask you for something very specific. Sounds like it’ll just be a pure numbers game at this point for the kids who get deferred.
