Mine decided to commit to VT after being offered honors college and SC did not offer it. It’s ok VT was her #1. She will be happy there.
Congratulations!
Good q - wondering the same thing, do they normally give a heads up before they release or no?
Based on last year, it seems students received an email to check their portal for decisions.
Yep. I meant a communication from the school a day or so prior announcing when decisions will be released.
Agree, I didn’t see that there was one last year.
I thought they would come out today, but im guessing not. If not today then i would assume next Friday for deferred.
For EA the decisions came out at around 5:00 maybe that when they’ll come out if they do come out today?
They usually send around 5:00. I’m still holding out hope for today!
Has anyone ever realistically heard anyone get in with a 3.6-3.7? OOS. My S25 has a 3.68 and was the Qb for his HS team, played baseball, and had over 20 CS hours. He goes to a school with around 4,300 students. first choice business, second choice undeclared. He was deferred in December. Anyone know if he realistically has any chance, or if anyone has heard someone get in with these stats. I’m a little out of the loop so I wasn’t sure. Thanks.
Do you have any idea what the weighted GPA is? I think in his case course rigor will matter. Ie: If it’s a 3.68 with all honors, dual enrollment or AP classes vs. just standard classes.
soo… i guess no decisions today?
We just got an email about setting up a financial aid account just now. Our D25 was deferred EA. Anyone else?
I did
I just received this as well, the VIP ID is what we received which im guessing is what you’re talking about. Can’t tell if this is a good sign or if everyone gets it. Who knows.
Interesting. Can you share a screenshot?
I heard there were OOS students with similar stats that got off the waitlist last year.
I think if you don’t have your financial aid account set up they send you an email so you can be considered for it.
We do not have a financial aid account set up and we did not get that email
We have our aid set up, still received.
