<p>To get to ACL on Friday, Sept 26, it looks like the #29 bus will get you right to Zilker Park easily on a weekday before 8 p.m. Just start out at 21st and Whitis and end at the intersection of Barton and Barton Springs - you can see Zilker park from there - right?</p>
<p>But getting home on Friday and getting to Zilker Park on Saturday or Sunday, it sounds like the shuttles from Republic Square downtown would be the way to do it; once you are at Republic Square, I think you are just a block away from 4th and Congress, where you would pick up the 1L or 1M bus straight north back to campus, 21st and Guadalupe.</p>
<p>If you are close to 4th and Congress you can als0 take the 450 Congress Dillo back to UT but the 1L or 1M bus will get you closer to UT if it is running when you want to get from Republic Square to UT.</p>
<p>Well Saturday is the Arkansas game, which better mean that any student is still on campus…</p>
<p>honestly a round-trip cab ride doesn’t cost any more than $20 and they all take Bevo Bucks I believe so I would just go with that. Cap Metro is sketchy as hell.</p>
<p>The bus schedule runs differently during ACL (and they change it up every year). Last year they had bus stations at Waterloo Park and 6th and Guadalupe with buses running continuously to and from Zilker. Getting back is a different matter. The end of the night is an absolute madhouse and you can end up waiting an hour for a bus. I’ve definitely ended up walking back to West Campus before. Your best bet is to see if someone can pick you up.</p>
<p>Also, cabs do not take Bevo Bucks. Most don’t take credit cards, and if they do, they don’t like to accept them. Always have some cash on hand for cabs.</p>
<p>Oh, and cabs are an even bigger mess than the bus system during ACL.</p>
<p>It seems like a relatively safe way for someone without a car to get home would be to wait as long as necessary and then take the official ACL shuttle back to Republic Square downtown at 11. From there you could walk back up to campus pretty easily.</p>
<p>And also to have cash on hand so that if you can find a cab at the end of ACL, you can take one back to campus. I would guess the cab drivers just loop back and forth to zilker park, too.</p>
