For the University of Virginia essay for the College of Arts and Sciences, it asks “What work of art, music, science, mathematics, or literature has surprised, unsettled, or challenged you, and in what way?” I am debating whether to write about the China One Child Policy under the category of “science” because we just learned about it in my AP Environmental Science class. Does this sound like a good idea or do you not think the China One Child Policy would be conisdered a “work of science”?

I completely agree that it is public policy, but the One Child Policy was put in place to control overpopulation. I think if I explain it like that it could work. Thanks T26E4 for your imput and that link!
