Rejected. In State. Full IB. 1500 SAT. Foster/Econ.
Got into much more selective OOS schools, but straight away rejected by our state flagship. Don’t know what to say anymore.
My advise to future applicants: move to a better state, if you want to remain in-state.

Son applied for Business and accepted but it says Pre-Major. I am not sure what that means and how difficult it is to transfer to Business school.

Daughter accepted to College of Engineering (on application, said 1st choice Mechanical, 2nd choice Materials Science & Engineering).
In-state, 3.92 UW, 8 AP’s, no test scores submitted.

Son, OOS, accepted with Purple and Gold scholarship. Requested major is ECE but assigned with Engineering undeclared. Does anybody know what will be the difference?

S25 got rejected CS OOS 4.72W, 9 APs. It was a longshot anyway given that 2% admit rate for OOS CS kids. In state kids are 25%.

All engineering students are admitted undeclared. They apply for their specific major at the end of freshman year.
Accepted in state CS. 4.0 UW, IB diploma, lots of Ecs.

Or I mean they’re admitted “general engineering” to the college of engineering. They apply for their major later.

This is super random, but does anyone remember if they send an email to parents regarding the decision? I want to surprise my mom tomorrow but she gets up earlier than I do

I got accepted OOS for pre-social sciences (sociology) as well as the Purple & Gold Scholarship. I did not submit an SAT score, but I had a 4.71 W and 3.94 UW GPA!

My guess is they won’t send an email that quickly to parents. I don’t think any other other schools did
