I was waitlisted at the University of Washington this year. I am an instate, white female who goes to a private catholic high school. My grades have a steady increave over the past four years, and have a 3.6 grade point average with AP and Honors classes. I am a board member for my schools St. Vincent de Paul society participating in community service and leadership. Is there any way to calculate my changes of getting admitted off of the waitlist or is there no way?

What’s your SAT/ACT?

Coming off the waitlist is affected most by yield: the school accepts a number of students, expecting to “yield” the right size freshman class. They dip into the waitlist if fewer students enroll than expected.

Secondary is filling out the class. So if more females decline than expected, or more community-service oriented kids, then your profile might look more attractive to fill the empty slots.

In general, chances aren’t great of being accepted off of waitlists. Do you have another acceptance that you are excited about?

Bump bump bump

Hey capriels did u get in to UW?
