I am a freshman at UW, staying in village 1 and im not going to lie its been quite boring. I am pretty out going but know one else seems to be and no one is ever having a party/doing ‘fun’ normal college activity’s. the stereotype for this school is definitely true. Is waterloo really going to be like this all year? the weekends are dead, i went to western this weekend and had a great time

That’s waterloo for you

Is it the Canadian university? Somehow I get the feeling that the college life isn’t as vibrant as the college life in America is. At least, that is what my cousin at the University of British Columbia says…

yes Canadian, and i wouldnt say that. western/mcgill/queens are all pretty vibrant

haha I’ve been living in UBC for six years, and I gotta say the partying is pretty hard. I even see people carrying alcohol across the campus on thursdays…

AWWWW that really sucks!!! My first choice is Waterloo and second Mcgill…if only Mcgill has my dream program. I’m from Vancouver and I don’t think I can stand the boringness of Waterloo and I really want to live in Quebec and sharpen my french… :(

The only place worse than Waterloo is Kitchener. Keep that in mind for the next 3 and 1/2 years haha.

Seriously though go to Toronto as often as you can. It’s like 13 dollars and an 1:30 minute trip.

Oh and I go to Carleton so I’d say I’m worse off. :(
