We get a welcome page that says we cannot make a reservation yet.

Same, no error is all I meant. It says welcome.

Welcome to the SOAR Reservation System
You are not yet eligible to make a SOAR reservation. The most common reasons include:
- You have not yet been admitted into UW-Madison
- You have not yet paid your enrollment deposit to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment in MyUW
- Your enrollment deposit payment has not finished processing (takes 24-48 hours to process)
- For students who deferred their enrollment: Your admission record has not been updated to the upcoming term.

Honestly, I doubt this means anything. I think everyone gets the same screen right now.

Well, I’m no psychic but the reason cleverly worded “you have not yet been admitted in UW-Madison” strongly imputes that, you know, admission is not directly correlated to accessing the page.

I’m still curious about the University Housing link. My child and his friends that applied have all tried to log in as “new incoming undergraduate students”, with varying success. When my son and a few friends log in, they see their name and some links on the left that aren’t populated with much info. Other friends see an error message.
I know this group isn’t big on portal astrology, but I can’t help but wonder…
Times like this I’m really glad I don’t have access to any of my kids’ portals.

a parent earlier up in this thread posted that last year her son was accepted in the EA wave but never had access to this portal in advance. just saying it might mean something, it might not.

Ahh, I see you are on your mobile device so looking at the mobile site. I see the same as you on mobile, but on laptop it does not say requests that I can see I don’t believe.

Correct and I just looked on the computer and it’s not there lol.
Under the applicant profile under residency for tuition, social security was added (it wasn’t there last night) and when I click on it, it has number is listed in university student records … hmmmm
