think so. just getting parnoid now:) i do know for sure tho that our major was updated to be more specific than just business. That is new for sure.

    Pretty sure the academic plan is a new line for us.

I do not have my kid’s portal logins and have only seen glimpses of my kid’s portals when he has shown them to me, but it seems many parents on here have the logins and check their kids’ portals frequently. Each family has their own approach I guess.

No, but my daughter knows I enjoy this stuff
 she is my youngest/last to go through this process. She indulges me when I see something on here and ask her to check. I’ve been hearing about the UW-Madison “tells” for years, but she is my first to apply here, so I 've never experienced them firsthand. It does not stress my daughter out in any way, or I would not mention what I see on here to her. That being said, every family has to do what works best for their young adult. Some 17/18 year olds with executive functioning issues might miss important deadlines and information if they did not have someone helping them check portals frequently.

What are the “tells”. My son is a sophomore there and I never heard of the tells of the portal. My youngest son applied this year. Fingers crossed.

My DDs portal says:
Academic Plan: Animal & Vet Biosciences BS

That wasn’t there before. Hmmmm

My DD24 says “biomedical engineering” under academic plan but I don’t know if that was there before or not

Mine went from Biology BS to General Course BS as of today. And yesterday I got a notification that people who work at UW and UW related companies searched my name on Linkedin? Idk if im reaching, but hopefully its a good sign.
