Any date announced for merit scholarships or is it still just by 3/31?
Did you apply for merit scholarships on the wish hub? There are few things that are considered automatically and most things you apply for through the scholarship hub. And I think they all have their own timelines. A lot list a deadline of 5-1, so it is possible to get an award later.
Only 5% of their student body last year were awarded merit money with an average award of 7K according to the CDS. I did have 2 kids get a music award.
I think if a student logs into the hub with their user id, it will help you find scholarships you may qualify for?

Is there benefit with housing to accepting sooner than later?
Not according to the UW website as long as you sign by the due date which I think is May 1st.

There is not. It’s a lottery so it does not matter if you put down your deposit and your contract today or on May 15th when it is due.
