Just heard! OOS d 4.4 weighted, AP classes + was deferred and now admitted into CALS for biochemistry. There is hope for deferrals!!

My daughter was admitted in January. When do we hear about merit scholarships?
I read it was suppose to be March 1st
Keep in mind only 5% of UW Madison’s student body gets merit. And this includes some very niche as specialized scholarships (for certain majors, for auditioned programs, for students from a certain area or of a certain demographic, etc).

That’s correct. My son just got one for music in an auditioned major.

He also got a nice scholarship at Colorado’s CoM. Still waiting on McGill, where he’s been accepted into the Arts faculty but hasn’t yet heard from the SoM–visiting this week. He loves UW–we’re actually only about a mile from campus, and he’s had lots of engagement with faculty and students there through HS jazz and youth symphony stuff. But…it’s not going to someplace exciting and far away. Still, the price is right for in-state! We’ll see what he decides.
