Yes! Indiana’s was not fun. My daughter is getting a bit of fatigue. She applying to a program within Penn State. More teacher recs. Don’t you have the teacher recs already??? Wish universities could be more centralized.

How difficult is it to have the kid sign a FERPA and have admissions send the college application/data over electronically to the scholarship folks…. It’s just another way to sort out those really interested in non-recurring, low-yield table scraps, in most cases.

I’m sure this has been asked and answered many times, so apologies, but I do seem to recall last year kids knowing when Wisconsin was coming out. Like a decision wasn’t just dropped without them having a few days of a heads up. Am I wrong about that? I know my daughter’s friends knew when they should be checking. This makes me think it’s not today. Same for Michigan, and I’m going to ask the same in that thread!

That is what I think too. There is no indication as of this morning about any decisions coming out. Seems they might really make us wait to the last day. Our luck that this month had an extra friday…… I hope at least with all this anxiety all of you (including us of course) get in!

Can someone offer a list of what email they received from UWM? Preferably international students. I only received like 3 and feel like im cooked.
We didn’t know last year either. We were guessing that they wouldn’t go past the 31st and Wisconsin historically has released decisions on a Friday at 7:00 CT.
Decisions for EA came out last year on January 26th immediately after 7:00 pm CT.
The my.wisc site went down temporarily (loading decisions) and then decisions were available on the portal. They also sent emails telling applicants to check the portal, but not always immediately.
There were two bits of portal astrology that I can recall. One was the ability to register for SOAR or housing in advance. In past years, this had been a tell for some, but I don’t remember that being true last year.
The other tell was by looking for a code in the my.wisc diagnostic data. There was a status = APPL that for some people turned to ADMT a few days before release. This turned out to be accurate. All folks on CC who had the ADMT status were later admitted, but a few with APPL were also admitted.
Wisconsin realized the issue and after the EA release they removed the status code from the diagnostic data.
