I donā€™t remember a problem with the portal crashing last year. If it did, it was for short periods of time. If past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior, I suspect they will stick with a Friday evening release, but spread the decisions over several hours.

But what do I know?

When I was applying for schools I had no idea what a graduate student was. I thought it was a student who was graduating. I donā€™t know where kids learn academia-speak these days, but I didnā€™t figure it out until well into my freshman year.

Regarding housing access, I donā€™t think itā€™s an indicator at all.

When S24 accepted his offer to Wisconsin, he was admitted on a Friday, immediately accepted the offer, and received error messages when he tried to access housing on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

When he called admissions on Monday, they said admissions and housing are
two completely separate databases and it takes a couple of business days for the housing database to update with admissions decisions.

Ohio Stateā€™s crashed this year for EA. Took us 5 hours to get in. :flushed:

Wow, thatā€™s crazy. We go into Ohio Stateā€™s site for EA within minutes at around 5:00PM EST. Guess we were lucky.

This was in-state in December. If you were OOS, maybe they fixed their problems by then. :slightly_smiling_face:

I am at the computer not able to do anything else and son is at a basketball game. He strongly believes it is not tonight but we will facetime if it is. He was born a Badger with both parents alum and this has to happen for him. He has so many great options but this is all he ever wanted his whole life. Praying and sending positive vibes for all!!
