Agreed. Right now the only “sign” I think is true is 92 apps = they’re beginning to prepare to release a decision which I mean it’s Friday or earlier so that’s about the only thing I think is “true” and it doesn’t signify the verdict of the decision. When the sign from a portal > 6-10 I’ll believe it’s got signal to noise.
I keep trying, cuz it’s the only prospect that I consider having some potential.
I saw. So far the FB posts have not been very reliable so I take with a grain of salt…

Agree on the ‘when this site lights up’….the 92 could be ‘the loading’ but could just be random glitches in an ancient system (it seems from some of the site info, that they are in the process of upgrading/replacing the systems)… who knows?

I have tried to apply the same ‘detective’ techniques used on this site to few other colleges we are waiting to hear from and this is the only site that gives you so much material to play with. From the applicant having been assigned a wisconsin email address, to the possibility of adding courses to your cart, New Student Congratulations message, looking into diagnostics, etc etc there’s been a lot of ‘food’ for the past few days. I’m not sure if I’m upset or relieved that I can’t do the same ‘sign’ searching on the other websites. I don’t think results will be released today, there’ve been changes to portal but too sparse to indicate a release is imminent imho. Even if the extra tile and canvas login indicate admission, there are too few on this forum able to do it and it doesn’t add up. So suspect tomorrow or Friday, but of course hoping for sooner nonetheless.

I agree. The only thing that made me hopeful was that last year the Terra Dotta app was added day of release to some portals from what I could see on the thread.
The most fun was OSU release day watching the updates from forum happen on my son’s portal in real time all being accurate.
I do think Wisconsin has tightened things like SOAR and housing portal from previous years when it was a tell.
I am wondering if only instate students can access Canvas especially if they have taken DE classes in the state of Wisconsin, but if OOS can get into canvas that’s a great sign! We can not yet but we have the TD app as of today, but may mean nothing accept the are updating. I never thought Wisconsin would wait until Friday but I guess it has been a very busy year in admissions!
And also still do not understand what really happened yesterday from that FB post. It seems like nothing has been released yet.

I know this thread has been exhausting (especially since the official post last Friday indicating that it could be any day this week).
But being a true badger means to be persistent and not backing off. So, my fellow portal astrology badgers (I hope they open this club at UWM), fight on… lol

I just got my 92nd app as well, no Canvas access either
I’m hoping that the updates to the portal will at least mean they’ll announce when they are releasing decisions. It’s only a couple of days but it would alleviate a lot of stress if we had concrete time, I’m sure

The Penn State one blows this one away in terms of activity and they actually talk about a lot more besides portal astrology.
