University of Wisconsin Early Action Fall 2025 Admissions

And then she clarified again later in one of the posts, that she was mistaken.

No worries at all, she later commented that she had been wrong, that he found out when RD was released and accepted on April 27 (or somewhere around that time).

Hey Folks,
I politely linked the TOS above in the yellow highlighted post. Please see #7. As a fun bonus, they are also linked at the bottom left of this page. All users agreed to them when they joined the site, and they are fascinating. :grinning:

If your post has been hidden, it is due to one of two reasons.

  1. A moderator asked posters to stay on topic and some didn’t, despite two requests. The topic of this thread is UWMadison admissions and whatever is directly related to it.
  2. Moderator actions are not a topic of discussion, as stated clearly in the TOS. If your post is discussing moderator actions, it will be removed.

Finally, in response to this question:

Absolutely!

Thanks to you all for your cooperation.

I can’t stand to be nitpicky on this, because we all can usually figure it out, but UWM is UW-Milwaukee. The only reason I’m bringing it up is because you specifically say “the topic of this thread is UWM” which had me thinking I was on the wrong board. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: And actually now I am still second guessing.LOL This is a UW-Madison board, right???

And so yeah, for UW-Madison, you can say:

“I go to Madison.”
"I go to Wisconsin.
“I go to UW.”

Please forgive me for correcting - I swear I never do!!! :grinning:

Yes indeed. Thank you. I will correct that.

Any idea when are they going to release their RD decisions?

Last year was Mar 21st, so it could be around the same time this year as well.

You have every right to be upset. This is 100% on the parents. In most cases, this is the first contract these students will ever sign. They are learning that it’s a victimless crime (untrue), and that contracts are just means to manipulate the other party into trusting you. It’s disgusting.

I just noticed that the link for reporting mid year grades has disappeared from the portal.
Go Badgers Admissions Team - admit us already. lol.

I was not aware about admitted students submitting mid year grades, until I found out through another admitted student about an option to add mid year grades in the student center. When I accessed the admissions page, I could not find an option to add the grades. Is this going to be a problem for me?

They probably want to see your midterm grades, so if the link to submit is no longer in the portal have your counselor, if you have one, submit them or give admissions a call to see how you can submit them otherwise.

Either way you should be OK.

how will the counselor send them btw?

they will not revoke my admission or something right?

Just relax! None of the schools revoke admissions due to administrative tasks. Have your high school counsellor share the mid term grades/transcripts just how they did for the original application; through Common App, Naviance or whatever they use. Alternatively, they can email the report to [onwisconsin@admissions.wisc.edu]

Just received a mail from admissions regarding this:
First quarter grades are neither required nor expected from admitted students. The option to self-report mid-year grades appeared for all applicants regardless of the decision they received. At this time, there is nothing required of admitted students relating to grade reports.
what does this exactly mean?

It means you don’t need to send mid-year reports. Your HS counsellor will need to send the final transcript at the end of senior year.
