Thank you! She is registered for the Admitted Student Day (DOTL) at UVA, but is still really hoping for Madison. Iād love to see a forum where people share schools and majors they were accepted to and which they ultimately chose. Maybe that does exist??

It looks like my S25ās big college decision season started and will end with UW-Madison. Jan 29 seems so long ago - he had some expected (but still terrific) acceptances at that point, and then the UW deferral was the first decision from a school he really wanted to go to. We had toured there during our annual summer trip visiting family living in WI two years ago, and he felt a connection.
Since then, weāve been feeling fortunate about recent in-state acceptances at his top CA choices - UC-Davis and Cal Poly SLO. Just waiting on UCSB, which releases tomorrow, and UW. I think he would be happy at Madison, but even if he does get in, Iām not sure that the $68k full pay UW price makes sense for us.

Apparently at admitted day they are saying uw-madison got 74k applicants this year, if someone had to guess how many are in regular decision pool?
Also just noticed I no longer see the request to withdrawal my application is that a bad/good sign?

I have never been able to find that info. I donāt think they publish it.

Its been under the requests tab in the application section for a while but the only request available was to withdrawal your application, might mean decisions are coming out Wednesday or Thursday

Same, Iām guessing itās gone for everyone in preparation of decision upload this week.
Good catch. It was there around lunchtime pst. So, theyāre starting to load.
I also noticed some momentary glitches this evening while checking how many apps we have, still 91; and no access to canvas.
Iāll take this as confirmation that decisions are coming this week.
Iām still thinking closer to the end of the week, since thatās their pattern.

Talk to me like Iām in kindergarten. Where is the ārequestsā tab? I see MyUW Home and the 91 entries available but do not see where the withdrawal button would live or any requests tab. Iām sneaking into my sonās MyUW Home and donāt want him to know, heās at work . . .
I wasnāt here during EA so did anyone figure out if anything in the portal signaled an acceptance?
Most people who were accepted had their number of apps increase to 92 from 91 before the decisions were released.

My son OOS got in on 1/29/25 EA. That morning we notIced his apps changed from 91 to 92 and the new app added was called terra dotta. He got his acceptance early evening that day (I think around 5:15 EST). Iām guessing you guys will hear this Wed or Thurs. Best of luck to all!

So you can still may get in even if you donāt get the 92?
I donāt knowā¦ we didnāt make the cut.
Seems in EA admission was more likely with 92.
UW is pretty good at closing/removing tells, so this may no longer work.

Yes, 92 apps was the strongest tell during EA; didnt see anyone reporting acceptance in EA with 91 apps (or at least they didnt check)
