He can submit his mid-term grades and a brief essay/statement in the portal. Here are the steps:
Enter the Student Center admissions portal
Select the Admissions tile
Select Application Status
Select “Mid-year Grades”
You can self-report your mid-term grades and below that is a narrow text box that allows you to provide an update of up to 3,000 characters. It only allows one submission. No edits after that submission.
My son submitted his mid year grades. His GPA went up 1.7 points; I’m hoping this might get him in. No idea how much this matters though. And hoping we hear before 3/31.
My daughter applied EA and was deferred. She was accepted to her other top choice school and will be going there, so she went into the UW portal last night to retract her application. Since she last looked at it, when she was deferred, the portal has changed. It now says Welcome Badger! And it has options for her to enroll, choose classes, etc. Has this happened to anyone else? There is nowhere for her to retract her application. It’s as if she has been accepted – without them telling her? And, she did not supply her midterm grades because she had already decided on the other school. So odd…
Anyone know if they need to report mid year grades through common app? Already did it on portal, but Wisconsin was one of the few that required self reported grades 9-11 through common app.
