That’s a great point. I think that the education at Wisco is second to none. The professors I’ve had are some of the smartest people I’ve ever met. They are super open and want you to succeed. Since a lot of my lectures are pretty big, I often go up to my professors after class and talk to them about pretty much anything. Big tip in terms of selecting the right ones- use ratemyprofessors(.com)! Regardless of where you go, you can read the reviews which will lead you to pick the right ones. Wish I had known about this earlier.

I was there like 25 years ago (old). I remember trying to take The African Storyteller several times, to no avail. lol. I finally, senior year, settled for Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen for the Lit requirement.
Is there a deadline of when to submit our mid year reports and additional info for the waitlist update information? Currently waiting for my report card to be released but I’m scared if it’s too late

If it’s any help to people, I (current Badger) came off the waitlist last year around May 25th and was told the same blurb by admissions. Waitlist decisions came off in waves for Wisconsin, with every week, more and more people getting off the waitlist, until about June 15th. Best of luck!

Those were 2023 statistics…I guess this year they received even more applications!
Apparently they take 350 pre-business but later you have to be successful to get into business

Dean Samba is a great leader and a great guy. I’m sending my third to the School of Business this fall so I have seen pre- and post- Samba, and he’s making a lot of positive changes. We’ve spoken a few times, and the first thing you take away is how much he cares about the School and the students.
He wants the WSB to shine!
I am wondering the same. How risky is it to come as pre-business?

Econ is very very good too. They can use the SOB career center. It can work either way.

Any advantage of being in Honors pgm at UW madison for letter to science? Is it worth it ? 
There are some specific sections of the big classes open to honors college students only
