University Prof. Program?

Does anyone know anything about this program? it sounds quite amazing from the website, but is it impossible to get into? any info would be appreciated!

It’s pretty rediculously selective. It’s usually for people who are competitive Ivy/top 25 candidates but want to go to BU.

Yes, they are all top students and usually very interesting to boot. Our HS Val from 05 is one and he is multi talented in addition to being brilliant. See what their web site says and call to see if they can give you a range of stats of the successful applicants. They have some amazing Profs in that program including Elie Weisel.

Hey Dogs, did you go to BU?

No, did not go to BU. My S is a Junior in CAS. He was in the Honors Program with a half tuition merit scholarship and now lives in an apartment off campus with two students from his dorm floor. There are about three of us that are parents on the board and we speak to that experience. We have another S, Jr. in HS, so I am also on the CC board beginning to look at his options. Good luck to you. Sounds like you go to Lower Merion which is a tough and stellar high school. (we used to live in that area so am familair with Wynnwood) Have you started your apps yet?

Wow. I’m shocked you know my school. Yeah I go to LM. Were in PA where you?

I’m like 99% done my App to BU. I’m applying ED to CGS. Just need to finish one of the smaller essays.

You can always transfer into University Professor’s program (well, up until you’re entering your junior year). You need above a 3.5, and a plan, but I know of people who have done it. That is probably your best bet.
