<p>Does anyone know when the University Scholars Program announces its new scholars? I know if you’ve been rejected it is the responsibility of the department to let you know that you haven’t been chosen and in the FAQ I saw that scholars should know by “early April,” but the dates and deadlines section says that orientation will occur March 25th in conjunction with the Research Symposium. I’m just a little confused as to whether I should assume I’ve been rejected if I haven’t heard before the symposium.</p>

<p>I applied and have yet to hear anything. 16 hours ago I asked another person who applied if they heard back and they also have yet to hear anything.</p>

<p>I believe, however, we will be notified soon. The date for the orientation in late march is correct and obviously early April would not work for that. </p>

<p>Silent rejections are extremely bad form for summer fellowship type programs and I would not expect that from USP.</p>
