University scholars

Just curious, but how many university scholars are there generally and can anyone tell me the specific added benefits to being one (besides the obvious half tuition scholarship)?

If you haven’t gone to an admitted students day, you can attend the university scholars breakfast prior to the start of the activities. My S just went on Monday and was with maybe 10-12 other scholars and got to talk to the dean and staff one-on-one before released into the horde. Probably should take advantage of that opportunity if you can.

@Rmac or anyone else. Can you fill us in on any information received during the scholars breakfast or information learned elsewhere? My daugther was supposed to attend during her open house but she was misdirected when she arrived and somehow missed it. Our family is wondering the same thing. Besides the obviously appreciated financial aid, are there other benefits?

I believe dorm and regsitration preference and advising are about it.
