Hey I don’t like my college right now so I’m going to transfer but before I do that I want to make up a lot of credit by going to a community college.

So how long must I go to this community college before I can transfer as a student from this community college instead as a student from my old college.

1 semester, 1 year? Or is it based on credit?

It doesn’t really matter. Most colleges will only accept a certain total number of transfer credits, regardless of where they came from. You can transfer out after a semester, a year, or even 3 semesters, as long as you remain within the maximum number of credits allowed to transfer. This number is different for every school, so make sure you look it up.
