<p>What became of the professed goal of schools that eliminated their early programs – to benefit low income and minority students who lacked knowledge of the early admissions advantage? I don’t fault schools for acting in the best interests of the institution (Yale certainly did it too by retaining the early program) but all the lofty double-speak is tiresome.</p>
