My brother is a freshman in high school with minor aspergers and has not been doing well in school at all. He is smart, but struggles in math and just doesn’t have the motivation to do well. He gets into trouble and fights quite a bit, and I see his future looking pretty grim. When I have asked him what he wants to do after he graduates he has mentioned designing video games or working for the criminal justice system (particularly the FBI and Secret Service). He likes break dancing and BMX and is on a robotics club with me. I’m getting ready to go to college in the fall, but I think showing him around college campuses near us might help motivate him and convince him that if he decides he wants to go to college (which I think he should) then he can. Does anybody know of any colleges near us he might like exploring and learning about?We live in western/central NY. Any other ideas for ways to motivate him? My parents have tried everything but I think having it come from someone else and making it more of a fun experience might work better.
