<p>Hmm, wonder why they didn’t mention the salmon in the article, or did I just miss it? Are they trying to keep that aspect quiet, or are they just not looking that far ahead?</p>
<p>They probably want to try to pass off contaminated salmon on us. Hey, after what we’ve been through with the water in our area, nothing surprises me anymore. </p>

Im afraid Fraser river salmon will now be so toxic, they will make tuna seem clean.

<p>There have been some new fires with a recent storm( which have been contained) , & the Carlton complex fire is mostly contained as well.
No areas are on level 2 or 3 evacuation, and Pateros is holding their apple pie Jamboree tomorrow( it was rescheduled from last month)
My daughter said they are sleeping by the river tonight, so it must not be too smoky. 
The main focus now will be rebuilding, not just buildings but farms & ranches.
I never would have imagined that my impulsive decision to make a new holiday tradition would still be part of our lives 28 years later.

<p>It is incredible how a tiny decision or event can change the entire trajectory of our lives. 33 years ago, if I had walked a different direction in the library and hadn’t seen an old book, my life would be completely different. Different career, different husband, different kids.</p>
