UNO or Mississippi State

Alright, I’m a junior in HS with about a 3.0 GPA but I’ve yet to take the ACT. Based on past tests I’ll probably make a 25-28. I’m not worried about that though. These are the two colleges I have in mind right now and I’d like to hear arguments for one or the other. Thanks.

Where are you from? What do you want to study? Where do you eventually want to live/work?

my friend got full tuition to msu with a 28 so money wise the schools will cost the same. You just need to pick a school and pay for room and board.

MSU is a residential campus where UNO has almost a third of their students going part-time. This will make a big difference in campus culture.

UNO is smaller but if you are really concerned about class size, look up their class schedules and see how big the classes are in the areas you’re interested.

MSU has a much better graduation rate 52 versus 15 for five years.

MSU has a bigger endowment per student although UNO actually spends slightly more than MSA on instruction per student.

Unless you have a very specific reason to attend UNO such as a unique major or financial incentive, I think MSU would be the better choice.
