@Paradoxical1 @uwhusky1997 I’m really sorry both of you are going through this. You both deserve to be admitted. I would be down too if I were in your shoes, but objectively speaking, I don’t think they’re done loading transcripts yet. The whole mailing & uploading of transcripts process has been so random that I don’t think we can know for sure yet. For example, someone got a letter but didn’t have her transcript load. On the other hand, I live 2 miles from UW and my transcript loaded Monday night, yet I have still not gotten a letter. And, others in my neighborhood have. So, there is hope. Hang in! And, as another poster said, I do know that UW does let a lot of people in off the waitlist if it comes to that. Let’s hope you get the letter soon or that your transcript uploads soon. Crossing my fingers for both of you!!! This whole college admissions process is insane … truly.

@Uwhusky1997 You and I are literally almost identical in scores, and instate lol and we are on the exact same road in terms of what has been loaded yet … hopefully we get in man (:
Kinda weird no one’s asked this question… Are there any significance in the order they send the acceptance letters? Like the first wave is for people who are the most impressive and second wave, etc.
@Baboom101 We heard from another student who’s father called the admission office and was promised by the admissions office that there is no significant order of things… It’s pretty much random when you get your letter and the answer were sent in a variety 
@Baboom101 It would definitely set my mind at ease if this is the way they did it :).
Not having my letter or transcript yet, but having people who go to my school have their transcripts in really worries me.
I hope this is how they do it haha.
I still have a hard time believing that batches are sent COMPLETELY random like. There has to be SOME method of distributing them

@Respira Yeah, mine loaded on Tuesday morning! Are you waiting on your unofficial transcript/letter?
Also, I have 2 other classmates who applied from my school. For one, I know his UT loaded but I’m not sure whether he received his letter or not. For the other, I’m not sure about the UT, but he received his gold envelope today! We are from Louisiana, so if anyone else is around this region, be on the lookout for a letter!
@uwhusky1997 I feel like I am in the same exact boat as you, similar stats, no unofficial transcript loaded, no letter, in state, and like an hour from Seattle!
But I’ll tell you, I am still very confident. With the almost 65% instate acceptance rate, (2/3rds of the space is reserved for Washington applicants!) we should be expecting several thousands of people in our area hearing back, and i don’t know about you but I’ve only seem a couple hundred so far.
That was just the first wave of letters, and my neighbor who goes there told me there are separate big waves, the first one comes In the first day (so Monday) and the second 4-5 days later. When you start to see people posting like crazy about it again, except to get something (good or bad)
Just remind yourself, no news is good news, and there is nothing we can control. I stopped looking at my UT because it just Sikes me out:/
And best of all, I’ve seen the people that got in!!!
Like wow haha theey got in with really low stats! I believe in my application, classes grades and Ecs, and even with a holistic view, I know there are several students that got in that I personally know barely do anything, no clubs no AP classes, and they just party all the time. BUT THEY GOT IN!!! With mediocre stats, so I am so confident in myself just seeing them boast about acceptance.
So, in conclusion, smile and chill because they send letters out completely randomly and you have a very solid chance, especially as an in state student:)

Ok so judging by my unofficial transcript, I have been admitted to Foster Business School. Does anyone think it would be possible for me to switch in to Computer Science direct admit major (if I’m qualified enough to be accepted)? I’m contemplating whether or not I should send this email to UW admissions hahaha
@kingcwagrad15 Count me in as well! No sign of a UT, no letter, no congratulatory message. Only difference is I’m OOS

Can anyone help me out? I’m an OOS student who hasn’t gotten their letter yet but I randomly logged on MyUW today to do the unofficial transcript trick, clicked on my application and got this message:
Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2015. A formal letter of admission has been mailed to you and a packet of additional information is mailed within a few days of the letter. Please allow sufficient time for the mail to reach you, especially if you live outside of Washington state. If you have already received your packet, you may choose to confirm or decline your enrollment to the UW Seattle online. The deadline to confirm your enrollment is May 1, 2015.
I’m super excited because Washington is one of my top schools but I totally wasn’t expecting this at all!!! Can anyone tell me if this is legit though? Like I said, I haven’t gotten my letter and I was expecting to find out through the mail. Has this happened to anyone else? Any help/clarity appreciated!!
