Unofficial Transcript Trick

I know, me too. I don’t want to be discouraging but I don’t really expect a gold envelope. Especially with my stats and the fact that I have not seen a transcript or anything. :frowning:

Anyone get anything in the mail today? (In state students?)

@uwhusky1997 have faith bro you’re not alone haha I can’t say why nothing has loaded for us but it seems that it means nothing until that letter comes! Did you not get a letter today by the way? I’m checking to see if mail has come every 20 min lol literally

@wusawu Did you get anything in the mail yet?

@worrybug @wusawu nothing in the mail.

In-state student here. Just got a letter today (like 30 minutes ago)… turns out I was waitlisted. I’m surprised I wasn’t declined outright. Going to be filling out this response form nonetheless, haha.

GPA (unweighted): 3.8
SAT: 1790
Minimal ECs, but had familial circumstances explained in the application.

@wazowski Did anything appear on your UW net account?

What were your ECs?

@Wazowski‌ what were your ECs?

@worrybug Nope. No unofficial transcript, nada.

@uwhusky1997 @Paradoxical1 Less than 50 hours volunteer work for an art class, intensive workshop in the summer, and then my part-time job (Does that count as an EC? haha).

In-state, received gold envelope today :smiley:

Stats:

GPA: 3.8 UW
SAT: 1760
ECs: Excellent; tons of community service with leadership positions (New Orleans - building homes destroyed by Katrina, Team Read Seattle - tutoring struggling elementary students, Ronald McDonald House, men’s homeless shelter, etc), internship with political consulting firm working on behalf of Initiative 594-gun control, JV soccer, student ambassador at school, broadcasting and sportswriting on PAC-12 website.
Essays: I worked really hard on them and thought they were very good. I also did the optional essay explaining that I am far more than my test scores & grades – more than just a number. I’m not a good standardized test-taker, so explained why I’d make a meaningful contribution to the community.

I think I was admitted because my ECs were really strong & I poured my heart into my essays.

@JunSin‌ I am fairly certain that you won’t be able to switch to computer science right now (at least for direct admit). I think they are done with decisions already, and I know you aren’t able to appeal if you don’t get into CS for DA. But congrats on Foster!

@uwhusky1997 @Paradoxical1‌ Same here :frowning:

@brianna3 does your transcript show??

got my letter today and i live in GA… the online letter loaded yesterday for me
GPA: 4.2
SAT:2000
EC: Internship at Northside Hospital and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, HOSA, StudCo, International Night Club, Mock Trial, National Honors Society, SNHS, NTHS

Nothing from my mail yet hopefully within the hour it will arrive lol do wait listed people usually get put in?

@Brianna3 Congrats! I know I’ve asked this before but how good of a chance do you think I have? 3.54 GPA/1860 SAT, 20+ college credits from CC, Eagle Scout (tons of comm. service), Youth and Government lobbyist, science camp cabin leader, volunteered at a nursing home, helped at a soup kitchen and provided warm clothing to homeless during the holidays.

@Wusawu According to the letter I got, it varies from year to year. in 2014, 197 out of 1060 waitlisted were offered admission. But in 2013, 704 of 754 got offered admission.

@Paradoxical1‌ @uwhusky1997‌ I don’t think we’re in. I’ll be honest this hurts pretty bad.

A lot of rejections and waitlists went out today…
