Hey everyone. I just got my letter and I have been placed on the wait list… My unofficial transcript is still not loading. So for those of you who cannot load their unofficial transcripts you may have been wait listed. I have to say I am definitely surprised I thought my stats were good enough for a general admission. It must be because I am out of state…

@madhusky2019 Your ACT score is higher than mine and you didn’t get in as an in-state?? They definitely made a mistake dude. Definitely appeal
@ferdinand32 I posted in another thread “I applied for CS OOS. I am from Texas. My GPA is 3.5 uw / 4.4w but I don’t know what it is when UW re-calculates it. My single highest SAT was 2070 and my superscore is 2150. I thought my essays were really good.” Just got rejected from UCLA last night to fml…
@kinglime Holy shit, your SAT score is higher than mine by 200 points, and you didn’t get in?? If you want something as a comparison, my SAT was 1870 and my GPA was a 3.86 unweighted and I got in as a OOS Purple and Gold Scholar, so I would appeal to them and argue your SAT score and how it’s much higher than the average. And bring up why you think your essays should lead to your acceptance and any other new/compelling information (focusing more on new info for appeals is what I heard works best) I got rejected from UCLA too dude, I understand the shitty feeling. The UC System is a bitch this year…
@ferdinand32 I don’t think I’m going to appeal… I definitely think I should have gotten in but honestly I am not competitive enough for a CS direct admission. I would only go to UW if I had a DA. I visited the campus and loved it but CS is simply too competitive and I definitely want to major in it so If I’m not guaranteed CS I won’t be going there unfortunately.

@ferdinand32 Thanks man, just waiting on NYU, Michigan, Stanford and UC Berkeley now but honestly I don’t think I’ll get into any of them…
@kinglime I’m waiting on NYU, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and USC, and I don’t think I’ll be getting into any of them either, so UW is probably where I’m gonna be moving to. Accepted to UC Merced and UW, but waitlisted by UCSD and rejected by UCLA. 
Colleges break hearts. Where do you think you’ll be heading?
@ferdinand32 I was waitlisted by UCSD too. Right now I’d say it is between UC Davis and Cal Poly SLO for me. I will probably visit both in April.
@kinglime Nice, both of them are great options! I have a cousin who goes to Cal Poly SLO, and she loves it there I wish I had applied to more schools that are good, but with higher acceptance rates. The only school that I applied to like that is this one, UW haha. But paying for it is a whole new scenario 
Rejected OOS w/ 3.65 GPA, 1900 SAT, 200+ hours community service, 6 AP classes, 8 college credits from local four year universities, NHS, Italian NHS, Science NHS, 3 service trips, from east coast
I know my GPA was weak but I certainly didn’t think I was a weak applicant? My parents had already told me I wouldn’t be able to go that far, I’ll most likely attend Ohio State or Uconn but I’m still kinda bummed

Wow, it definitely seems like UW focused a lot on the unweighted GPA rather than test scores this year. I mean I know they usually focus on GPA more, but it seems like they did especially this year.
This is worrying… my GPA is extremely low but I meet their expectations in every other category.
I am the last person to hear back from UW at my school. Still waiting for some sign of hope.
Since I am the last student left in my school who hasn’t gotten a letter… (acceptance or denial) could I possibly get in with the second batch or something?
