unrealistic to fall in love and get married at a young age?

ive always dreamed of marrying a HS or earlier sweetheart and goign throguh the whole first kiss/first time thing. Is this unrealistic these days? im really not into the whole hook up culture at all…

It’s not unrealistic. If I hadn’t gone off to college, my high school sweetheart and I would have gotten married. Even though we broke up recently, we could have easily gotten married and been happy. It’s rare, but totally possible.

We know you aren’t no need to point it out again, is it unrealistic no…unlikely yes. Just not the way things are anymore.

And there is a HUGE gap between marrying your high school sweetheart and being into hook ups. Don’t hold on to a hs relationship just because you’re in love with the idea of marrying your hs sweetheart and living happily ever after.

I don’t know what you think you’re accomplishing with these threads, they’re essentially all the same thing.

Furthermore, I think you are really into the idea of having a high school sweetheart or whatever. What you should really be into is whatever person you wind up in love with…and whatever circumstances that brings. Being in love with an idea is stupid, it’s about the person. If you meet them in high school, great, but your relationship will be just as good if you meet during or after college, or if either of you have had sex (or a freaking first kiss) before. If you decide your love life is going to be a certain way before you even meet anyone, you’re really constraining yourself and increasing your chances of being unhappy and alone.

I think only wanting to date someone who hasn’t had their first kiss yet is unrealistic, not impossible, but exceedingly unrealistic. Wanting to date a virgin is more realistic, but realize you’re writing off a lot of non-virgins who could be really amazing and perfect for you.
