<p>I read this from “Gruber’s Complete SAT Guide 2008”:</p>
<p>“Check with the schools you are applying to see how they use the reported scores, e.g., whether they average them, whether they take the highest. Ask the school whether they see unreported scores; if they do, find out how the individual school deals with single and multiple unreported scores.”</p>
<p>Is it true that some schools average the reported scores even if you only take SAT twice? Is it true that some schools actually view your unreported scores? What do you guys think? (in the meantime I’m researching these informations online)</p>
<p>No schools average…that’s just absurd.</p>
<p>I think Gruber is thinking about GRE or other graduate schools exams. If you plan to take GRE, keep in mind that some schools DO average the test scores. Therefore, at the end of the exam, think carefully whether you would like to cancel your scores. (You can view your score range at the end of GRE exam; the score will show the score if you get 0 on your essay and the score if you get max mark on your essay.)</p>
<p>They do have access to scores you don’t report on the application, as the Collegeboard (for the time being) sends all of your scores on the official report.</p>
