UnSat on transcript - transfer +grad school?

So I transferred to school A from my original school , lets call it B. However, due to financial reasons (dad lost job) and couldn’t afford school A anymore so I had to go back to B where I can live at home.

I was doing pretty well at school A, (just less than 90% avg). However, during the summer I was supposed to take an online course at school A which is graded as Sat or UnSat. I didn’t think I had to do it so I didn’t do any of the work and got UnSat. I figured “why bother if I’m not going back” but now I realize it might affect my grad school chances. I went into school A as a sophmore so I’m hoping grad schools won’t look at that.

I’m doing really well at school B (3.85gpa), REU for the summer, a few co-authored publications.

I’m wondering how that UnSat will affect my chances in the future? Looking back now, I really wish I did the work for that class even though I wasn’t going back.

thanks a lot for your input!

any responses?

why didn’t you drop the class?

Just explain the situation in any applications or anything else that comes up it will be ok

i don’t know why i didn’t drop the class…to be honest the thought didn’t even cross my mind. I have no idea what I was thinking.
