unsure of what to do

So I applied for engineering at UMD, and got spring. However, I got accepted into NC state for the fall. I’m currently not sure what to do. I’m in state at Maryland, and have wanted to go there for awhile now. I did, however, really like NC state, but perhaps not as much as UMD.
I could do the freshmen connection thing, however, i’m worried i would be isolated from the campus and not enjoy a true freshmen experience. The social part of college is very important to me and i would rather be included in it from the start.
Any one have thoughts on my predicament?

How does Freshman Connection relate to Engineering? Are you allowed to take “keystone” engineering courses while in Freshman Connection? I’m not an authority on this subject, but am suggesting that you investigate. I believe “keystone” is the term they use for the engineering courses you need to have if you want to try to get admitted to engineering at a later date, if not originally admitted to engineering. Or does you “spring admit” include spring admission directly to engineering?
