Unfortunately I missed the admission deadline for the school I very badly wanted to attend because I forgot to go back and type the required essay.I did manage to get accepted to another one I wanted to go to earlier in the year but I’m not sure anymore.After being notified of acceptance I decided to do some research and found that alot of students have experienced some type of racism on campus which is a problem as I am mixed, this school is also located somewhere where there is basically zero city life which is also a problem for me. Should I just deal with this school and transfer over when I can or work until I am able to apply to my first choice college again?
Have you contacted admissions to ask whether there’s any way they would still accept your application?
How about other schools with rolling admissions?
Check the NACAC list that was released today. There are lots of good places that have spaces available. There is a link to that list in a thread near the top of this forum.
If you don’t like the place where you have been accepted, it is OK to take a gap year and do something else (volunteer work, a job, etc.) and then apply for fall 2019. If you need financial aid, you are more likely to get good aid if you take time off instead of transferring.
