<p>Coming from the A2 public school area, most people who get these kind of internships as highschoolers (me for example) have connections within the university (obvious example is parents).</p>
<p>A research professor at the med school isn’t looking to get high school students in his/her lab :P, but if it’s their son/daughter then sure! Pretty logical when you think about it</p>
