UoP PreDentistry acceptance letter

Hello,

My daughter received a letter from UoP that stated, “You have been admitted to the College of the Pacific with a major in Pre-Dentistry.” We are not sure if this refers to the accelerated Pre-Dental Advantage Program. If yes, then is it a 3+3 or 4+3 program? Will really appreciate if someone can share their experience related to this letter.

Thanks & Regards

If you don’t hear this weekend, reach out to the school and ask.

Congrats to your daughter.

The 2+3, 3+3, 4+3 options are discussed as part of the first year counselor meetings. What the acceptance letter gives you is the path into the program, with a guarantee of an interview provided you meet the minimum DAT score by the time of the interview.

I also read in some other threads that UOP is now taking way more students into this program than it used to take a few years ago. I am not sure how a larger intake of students will impact the percentage of students getting placed in their dental school. If anyone has a perspective on that, please share, as I am looking for some assistance to decide whether this program’s 4+3 offering is worth it or is looked down upon as compared to 2+3 and 3+3 when the time comes for dental school interviews.
