Hey CCers! I’m confused about whether I got in to University of Oregon. I checked my application status and it said that admission is offered to the College of Arts and Sciences, but I applied to the College of Architecture and Allied Arts. Is there a mistake? If i applied to the College of Architecture and Allied Arts isn’t that the only college I can get into and not some other college?
Also, they sent me this email congratulating my admission acceptance and invited me to attend the Embracing the Future event. But there is another email that said that the email was sent accidentally and that i should disregard it because the event is on another day. It also said that another letter will be sent later. Does this mean I got in? Thanks for your help!

this was the second letter:

Dear …,
An e-mail message was sent this morning (February 18, 2011) inviting you to an Embracing the Future event. I’m sorry to inform you that the e-mail was sent out erroneously and should be disregarded.
Embracing the Future will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011. We will be sending out letter and e-mail invitations shortly with the program schedule and also a link for you to register to attend the event.
We apologize for any confusion or trouble this may have caused you. If you have further questions about Embracing the Future, please contact Rasheid Light, director of multicultural recruitment, at rlight@uoregon.edu.

Sincerely,
