UoT CS question

D22 got admitted to Studies in Computer Science at the Faculty of Arts and Science.
Seems like, need to maintain some grades for 2 courses to get into the CS specialist program in-stream:
Complete CSC110Y1 with a final mark of at least 70%.
Complete CSC111H1 with a final mark of at least 77%.
Any insights on what percentage of the class passes this bar, or what is the class average?
Since this is the bar for guaranteed CS program, is there a chance to get CS specialist degree even for students who fail this bar and maybe far exceed other classes?
Thanks!

These are relatively new courses, so it’s difficult to find info. Courses have been online since the change because of covid too. One source I found says that CSC110 average last year was around 80%. I would expect about the same for CSC111. As long as she keeps up with the work, she should be fine to make PoST. You must pass the bar to get into the CS specialist or major.

Any recent experiences with the POSt requirements? S24 has been admitted to Studies in CS and is seriously considering it.

The POSt requirements are the same as they were 2 years ago. If the student applies themselves, they should have no problems in meeting the bar after first year. Students in CMP1 Admission Category — Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto

Thanks for sending the link to the POSt requirements. It looks like CSC110 should not be a problem, but the bar is higher for CSC111. Is there any information available about the class average for CSC111?

I have no insider knowledge, but I found this: Reddit - Dive into anything
