This is just out of curiosity. In your opinion, what are the foremost up and coming National Universities? The school you pick as your answer cannot be on the current US News top 25 rankings.

If you’re basing it on rankings, I’m pretty sure I heard when I visited Fordham that no other school has risen as fast/far as they have in the past couple years. They always had a good reputation in the New York area, but now they’re getting more national recognition.

University of South Carolina

Northeastern

USC and not the University of South Carolina. -.-

The OP asked for schools not in the USNWR Top 25.

To further expand upon Fordham, I just looked up the numbers; they were #84 in 2007 and #56 in 2010. And their acceptance rate just dropped by over 10 percentage points this year.

However, I don’t really see the merit in college rankings. The methods seem so flawed, it’s pretty much pointless. Just a way for companies to make a ton of money.
