<p>So I found out today that my friend who was in the hospital with severe burns is finally at home!</p>
<p>So long story short, I was hanging out with some friends and we decided to go see her.</p>
<p>She is doing WONDERFULLY! She seemed just like her normal self. Her mom though is not doing quite as well, it didn’t seem. She seemed very tired and like she was really hurting, and we all made it clear to her that if she needed anything she was free to call us. </p>
<p>It was so great to see her and stop relying on 2nd-hand information. Such a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. :)</p>
<p>glad to hear it!!! keep visiting her and staying in contact. now if the time shee needs people…don’t wait for her to call you …contact her looking advice, with some silly gossip, some tacky magainzes, etc.</p>
<p>and don’t wait for the mom to call… if you can, offer to stay with your friend for an hour or something, so mom can go out and shop, or take a walk, or just get some fresh air, that will be very nice and wanted and the mom may not want to ask, but will be so grateful</p>
<p>also, ask if you and your friends can take turns making dinner once a week!!!</p>
<p>its good you are thinking about the mom as well…there are simple things you can do…and may have to “insist” to give her a break</p>
<p>We were actually told tonight NOT to bring food because they’re being so well provided for. :)</p>
<p>To quote the mom: “We won’t have to buy food for a looooong time.”</p>
<p>Her mom actually wasn’t there when we got there, her dad and brother were taking care of her. But thank you for the advice…we’re all super worried about her and she has like an army taking care of her (takes a village and all that).</p>
<p>What a nice friend you are! Thanks for updating us as well. I think your friend will appreciate hearing about what is happening in school, and in the world outside home. is she concerned about missing classes? homework? Offer to discuss the best way to deal with the issue and how you can help with her teachers.</p>
<p>Her grades are currently “frozen,” Which basically just means that everything she’s missed is not effecting her grades, and all of the teachers at our school tend to be very nice about make-up work when things like this happen.</p>

<p>Yeah, she’s having a hard time because this week is our Spring Musical, and she was supposed to play one of the leads. I feel so awful that this happened to her senior year, and now she has to miss her last musical.</p>
<p>Thank you all so much for your support during this. It was much easier knowing I had such a strong support system rooting for her to pull through.</p>
