<p>Oaklandmom—For all of us who followed the house buying/selling saga—we want updates. On another thread, you said you’d be moving Dec 7 if all goes according to plan…Tell us what’s been happening!!! (and although we hope that the move doesn’t turn out to be quite as action-packed/“fun”-filled as the drop-off story, I’m sure you’ll have some good stories for us!)</p>

<p>Yesterday I took DS up to see our new home…the rose colored/L-shaped house. He likes it. It looks like the sale of our Oakland home is going thru as will the purchase though everyone warns me in this market you never know what will happen. The piano company that is giving us our Price is Right Piano has called twice now, looking for a date to deliver - he’d wanted to deliver it a month ago & then wanted to deliver it before Thanksgiving…but I’d rather not add the expense of moving a piano so he’s waiting patiently for us to move. I still haven’t heard from the sled company or about the cough drops. As for adventures with the new house - no exciting stories to tell, though when I had some electricians come to give us an estimate for updating the wiring, they looked at what was in the garage and said “This is SCAREY!” Apparently a previous owner had installed two high voltage transformers in the garage, not something one wants their children playing with (even adult children like DS who looked at them and thought they were very interesting). We’re packing boxes while DS is home this weekend - I thought it would be good for him to pack up his own room. It really looks like when he comes home for his winter break it won’t be to Oakland. I’ll keep you all updated. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. & thanks astrophysics mom for starting this thread. (I’m so disappointed that the old thread is gone…I really wanted to print it all out at some point, but I’ve been too busy).</p>
