Update on situation....

I just wanted to give an update on my situation. My research project is ruined. All of the fish died or are dying. As a result, the coordinator of our lab does not want to retry the project, and I will probably be fired, after 7 weeks at this job.

Should I schedule an appointment with my psychiatrist sooner, and I know people have suggested a coach, but can I get some more information about that option? I really need it.

Thank you.

bio: I am so sorry that your fish died and that you won't be able to restart your experiment. It is a great disappointment. You are a great young man, and you will have better days ahead. Please do not focus on your difficulties now. I think you should make an appointment with your psychiatrist soon if talking to him/her will be helpful to you. I think that you will have to be patient with yourself and do things that make you feel happy. You are having difficulties now, but other people with Asperger's have the same difficulties. You are not alone. You have many strengths and many accomplishments. You also have things to work on. You can work on things that will help you little by little. Don't let the experiment get you down. I am sending you lots of good wishes.

My advice is to schedule an appointment with your psychiatrist as soon as you can. When you call, let your psychiatrist know that you've had several disappointments and very upsetting experiences recently and you desperately need to see him. See if you can get an appointment this week.

It does look like that I might be cleared. My dad says that we should not have used city water in the experiment, as chloramines were present that could not be neutralized, which the fish were jumping out of the tanks to get away from. I was just following orders. Sigh, the people at school are such idiots. Now I may not get published as soon as I thought.
