DD just got Oct SAT scores back and Math is higher by 20 points but Reading lower by 60 (compared to her highest scores from August SAT). Her Essay went up A LOT, but we think that PSU doesn’t look at that… Can she send in new scores if her application has already been submitted and marked as Complete? Will admissions look at her highest scores from two different sittings? Thanks for any help!
Admissions will look at the highest score in one sitting. So it sounds like her SAT overall dropped 40? Penn State does not consider the writing essay in their decision. What major is she applying for? What was her overall score before, and now?
@jlhpsu Thanks for the reply! Her August sitting was 1330 (640 R and 690M) and October 580 R and 710 Math. Applied for Economics, College of Liberal Arts, 3.98/4.0 Weighted, 7 APs (includes 4 this year - AP Econ, AP Stat, AP Calc AB and AP Physics).
Hmmm, I’m not sure what to advise here for Econ. @MYOS1634 may have better advice!
