<p>Accounting but because I have a large background in science i may switch to that field if I am not accepted to the school of business.</p>

<p>Hm. </p>

<p>Your GPA is average I’d say…esp. considering you graduated with precalc and not Calc AB or BC. But that IS my only way of determining the intensity of your course load. Admissions officers are trained in knowing what a typical courseload at your school is and whether or not you were taking something more/less challenging than others there. Your GC rec should also address this. </p>

<p>Your upward trend is very strong though.</p>

<p>You have great ECs, nothing to complain about there, but if the GPA+SAT combo is on the low side I think that makes Maryland a slight reach for you. You’re on the edge so it’s difficult for me to guess whether you’d get in as a general admit but I definitely don’t see admission to the biz school happening. </p>
